While many of us were enjoying sunny summer, residents of Vorkuta were making snowmen last weekend. On Sunday, July 5, the snow fell in the city. Vorkuta is located in the north of Komi Republic in the permafrost zone. It is the third largest city in the Arctic Circle. With the average July temperature about +13 °C (55 °F), snowfall in the midst of summer is very unusual event for this part of Russia.
