Alexey Trofimov is a famous photographer not only in Russia, but also abroad. He mainly focuses on landscape photography. Presently, he works on a project to capture remote and inaccessible places of lake Baikal. Lake Baikal is an ancient, huge lake in the mountainous Russian region of Siberia, north of the Mongolian border. In fact, it’s the deepest lake in the world. Many Russians consider the lake to be sacred.
My main goal as a photographer is to show not only the beauty, but also the fragility of the world around us, which can be easily destroyed
This year Alexey had three photo exhibitions devoted to Baikal lake. Unfortunately, not all of those who wanted to visit his exhibitions got a chance to do so. Because of many requests, Alexey posted online all of his photos featured in exhibitions.
