This monument in honor of the WW2 sailors is located in the village of Liinakhamari, 150 from Murmansk and 15 kilometres from the border with Norway.
Liinakhamari used to be the military settlement during the Soviet times. Unfortunately, the military left the village in the mid-nineties, after which the village fell into decay.
Another tourist attraction is the Lenin graffiti.
Over here, Lenin is still alive and keeps his eye on the abandoned settlement of Liinakhamari.
