Syrian women pose for Russian military in ‘Thank You’ calendar

RT reports, that “In a gesture of gratitude amid the ugliness of Syria’s civil war, a number of young Syrian women have made a New Year’s calendar for Russian soldiers. Wearing a modern interpretation of traditional Russian attire, each delivers a personal message.”

The calendar went viral in social media and many users found the “personal” messages on it, to be a little too personal. Many hoped, that the girls will never find out what the “personal messages” are featured next to them.

Allegedly, the calendar is the project of Russia’s “Independent youth” and features Syrian women, who are a Russian college students. However, it states on the calendar, that the “Independent youth” is funded by the presidential grant.

Update: According to one of the models, who participated in photo shoot they were unaware of the content of the captions.
