This is the real singing of freezing lakes. Yes, you heard it right: these strange cosmic sounds are coming from a lake. In order for the lake to “sing”, a combination of many natural factors is needed. The strength, power and tonality of sound, mainly depends on the air temperature. Also, the daytime singing of the ice is different, than the night one. Daytime sound is high, loud, sharp, sonorous, mischievous, rhythmic. Sometimes it is similar to the sounds of electronic music. The night sound though, is soft, low, thick, long, taut, howling. It moves from quiet to very loud and it is reminiscent of the singing of whales under the water.
