Located at the southern tip of Kamchatka Peninsula, Kurile Lake is often called the bear paradise. Soon, Russian film crew under the leadership of Dmitry Shpilenok will travel there to shoot a documentary about the curious life of bear families. The crew plans to spend one year filming the animals. This will allow to reveal daily life of new-born bear cubs, how they adapt to the world of wild nature, their feeding habits, food, dangers and adventures.
In order to raise funds for the movie, filmmakers started a Kickstarter campaign. To help with fundraising, Dmitry’s brother, Igor Shpilenok uses his photography skills to show a glimpse into the daily life of Kamchatka bears. Igor is a regular contributor to National Wildlife, Ranger Rick, Russian Life, National Geographic-Russia, Canadian Wildlife, Geo-Germany, and BBC Wildlife magazines, among others.
